2022 Summer Filmmaking Camps

Our day camps are fun and artistic projection based programs designed to teach teamwork and collaboration for students, ages xi-17. Each calendar week we challenge our aspiring filmmakers to work in small teams to produce two short films in ane week!

Aspiring filmmakers, ages 11-17 see new friends to create, collaborate, and produce curt films! Army camp Mission: Encourage critical thinking by learning to use our voice to drive creative change in our customs.

Each week students learn how to utilise their own stories and shared experiences to develop a screenplay, production plan and storyboard for their project. We support students past teaching fundamental cinematography, lighting, directing and editing skills.

Learn on the gear professionals filmmakers use

Students have the opportunity to learn cinematography and camera functions on professional cinema cameras. Becoming familiar with industry standard equipment and motion-picture show production terminology.

Students interesting in learning Premier Pro - Premier Blitz - Audition - Character Animator - After Effects are encouraged to enroll! Great opportunity to larn Digital Media/Literacy skills and build pupil'due south digital portfolio.

Program Age Groups

SAMPLE SCHEDULE

  • viii:30 - Drib off / Check in

  • nine:00 - Instruction / Pre-product

  • 10:30 - Onset Picture show Production

  • 12:00 - Lunch Break - Bring a lunch!

  • 12:thirty - Team Building Exterior

  • 12:45 - Go along Filming

  • 1:30 - Post-production work

  • 2:thirty - Option up - No later than 3:00pm

Tuition and Fees Refund Policy - If you lot are forced to cancel for whatever reason y'all will receive your full buy price as a transferable credit, good for any NW Film Camp session through 2023. Tuition is non-refundable.

  • Limited number of partial scholarships available. Please contact u.s.a. for more information.

  • Spring / Summer Camp is Capped at 15 students per calendar week: Due to Covid-19 we will be limiting enrollment until further detect. This allows for more than personalized learning with hands on feel. Boosted camps spaces may become bachelor depending state and local covid-xix guidelines.

  • Professional person level editing skill building : Students hone their editing skills and acquire to use professional class editing software such as Adobe Premiere, After Effects and Audition. Students build their digital portfolio for collage and beyond while learning the tricks of the trade.

  • Ages xi-17 - Middle and High School: Our mixed aged camps encourage customs, mentorship and leadership building to support students 11 to 17 years of age.

  • Leadership and Team Building: Youth are expected to collaborate and work together in teams to produce their films. NW Film Camp instructors will challenge aspiring filmmakers to take on leadership positions throughout the collaborative filmmaking process.
